Winemaker Vicente Flors only started in the world of wine when he was over 50 years old. Re-establishing his family winemaking traditions after studying at the Requeña School of Oenology, he looks after the vineyards and makes wines at Bodega Flors with Alma Nebot, an agronomist and oenologist.

The winery, built in the 19th century is located in Les Useres, a relatively dry region near the Mediterranean Sea. The vineyards are surrounded by olive, almond, carob and cereal trees, creating a spectacular agricultural mosaic landscape. Most of the Tempranillo, Macabeo, Tortosí (Bobal Blanco), Monastrell and Garnacha vines are over 80 years old. Traditional, sustainable and environmentally-friendly cultivation and processing methods are followed with a minimal intervention approach.
‘A mi Aire’ is a new range of natural wines, made from grapes grown in Alma’s own vineyards in Llucena, surrounded by mountains at more than 850 meters above sea level. Vincente is also involved in another project, recovering local indigenous grapes, such as Embolicaire (Trepat), Tortosi and others, all grown organically.
